Alexander Horsch (Managing Partner) holds a degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in construction management and has been managing partner of CP Bauteam since 2013. Before that, he was already active as an execution partner of Bauteam. Whether civil engineering, turnkey building construction, bridge construction or the new ICE railway line, in Düsseldorf or on Lake Constance – in the course of his career, Alexander Horsch has been involved in the successful completion of a wide variety of construction projects throughout Germany. As Managing Director, he not only stands for profound knowledge gained from more than 35 years of professional experience in various specialist and management positions in the construction industry, but also for a cooperation in the team and with the client that is characterised by trust and appreciation.

Fun Fact: Alexander appreciates variety not only in his professional life – he also has various interests in his private life and spends his free time, for example, in the garden, on a sailing boat or with his two sons.

Maike Breuer (Proxy) joined CP Bauteam in 2021 as Head of Finance, Controlling and HR. As a financial all-rounder with 15 years of professional experience in the construction and real estate industry, she is responsible for monthly and annual financial statements; she prepares and audits balance sheets, handles liquidity management and takes care of tax issues. With her balanced manner, she always maintains an overview and supports the management in all financial matters.

Fun Fact: When she was a child, Maike actually wanted to become a surgeon, her desire to be present at least once during an an operation has remained. In the meantime, she compensates for this by watching medical series – starting with the German Schwarzwaldklinik, Emergency Room and Grey’s Anatomy.

Stephan Zeyen (Proxy) is the contact person for CMT leading the team of the technical finishing trades at CP Bauteam since 2018. Here he brings in his engineering expertise and competence from eight years of project management in a medium-sized Aachen-based company as well as from 14 years of specialist group management and project management at a technical general contractor. It is not only his technical competence and his particular strength in conceptual thinking that can always be relied upon – no one in the team would want to miss his very personal sense of humour.

Fun Fact: Stephan doesn’t believe in fun facts, unlike his team colleagues, he simply doesn’t find himself funny.

Hans Schmitz (Proxy) responsible for construction and cost management at CP Bauteam since 2014 also manages the Cologne office. After almost two decades in a large general planning office, he has a wide range of experience and extensive expertise in construction and interior works and is highly experienced in CMT. Calm and prundent as he is, his strengths include in particular cross-trade commissioning management.

Fun Fact: Unlike what his German name may suggest, Hans is half-Ecuadorian and was born and raised in Ecuador

Sven Hennig (Construction Management) studied civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering. He became a permanent part of the construction management team in 2021 and is one of the first contacts on the construction site. He gained his first experiences in construction management and lean construction management as a student trainee at large construction companies. Thanks to his ability to grasp things quickly and his interest in digital innovations, he always keeps an overview, often also with a drone from the air.

Fun Fact: Sven likes to push himself and others to top condition and can also be found volunteering as a lifeguard at the Baltic Sea in the summer.

Marc Kreutzberg, (Construction Management) who studied civil engineering, has supported our construction management team since the beginning of 2022. He has previously worked for Deutsche Bahn AG for more than 10 years in various positions and in different technical areas, among others, in track construction, station construction, civil engineering, bridge construction and structural engineering. He now contributes his broad expertise to CP Bauteam returning to his roots – structural engineering. Being calm and diplomatic Marc always keeps an overview.

Fun Fact: The family father likes to spend his free time in the great outdoors and so it can sometimes happen that he runs a half marathon or pushes his limits with his mountain bike.

Philipp Klütsch (Construction Management ETS) is a trained master electrician with more than 10 years of professional experience and working for our construction management team as an ELT site manager since 2021. He has gained his technical knowledge primarily in the executing sector, showing strength of implementation in the day-to-day business. The planning and development of electrotechnical systems are just as much a part of his areas as the support of defined clients and projects.

Fun Fact: Philipp doesn’t let himself get rattled by anything and thinks creatively. He would also have liked to use his diplomatic skills in a career as a professional football player.

Nicole Vaßen (Administration | Project Accounting) is a trained bank clerk and joined CP Bauteam in 2018 as an assistant to the management. Here she brings in her commercial know-how and her many years of professional experience in order management and accounting and supports the team throughout the entire project process. In everyday office life, she can always be relied on not only for her organisational talent, but also for her cheerful disposition.

Fun Fact: Those who work with Nicole can enjoy her sense of humour twice as much – because in addition to German, the mum of three also likes to serve up her jokes in Dutch.

Marion Küpper (Team Assistance | Project Accounting) is a trained hotel specialist as well as a life and business coach. As an assistant to the management at our location in Cologne since 2021 she has been contributing her many years of versatile professional experience from the travel, aviation and real estate industries. In addition to the project organisation, she uses her communication skills to maintain and expand our network. Establishing connections with our international clients is no challenge either; Marion lived in California and speaks English fluently.

Fun Fact: When Marion is just not travelling abroad, she likes to spend her free time with her grown-up daughter, relaxing while hiking in the forest or on her SUP at the Rursee in the Eifel.

Manuela Pinoé-Schmidt (Biologist | LAB TEAM) is a graduate biologist specialized in molecular biology and part of the CP Bauteam since 2018. With her know-how based on more than 12 years of laboratory experience on the user side in reproductive biology at the University Hospital Aachen she supports the LAB Team in planning complex laboratory environments. In addition to her advisory role, she works full-time at the Institute for Molecular Pathobiochemistry at the University Hospital Aachen.

Fun Fact: When Manuela is just not working on biological macromolecules, she loves to spend time with her 1,2,3,4,5 children.

Jonas Schmidt (Working Student) is studying Smart Building Engineering at Aachen University of Applied Sciences and has been working with us as a student trainee since summer 2021. Before joining us, he had already gained experience in planning at Carpus+Partner. Many intersections from planning to construction are known to him and he can apply them in his work. At CP Bauteam, he is part of the TBE team supervised by Stephan Zeyen. This allows him to put his knowledge from his studies into practice and gain new insights into the professional world.

Fun Fact: Since Jonas supports Stephan, he must not believe in Fun Facts. Otherwise, there would probably be something about a failed professional soccer career here.

Claudia Knaub (Working Student) has been supporting our construction management team on the site in Bergheim since 2021. She became aware of CP Bauteam through an interview for her bachelor’s thesis with our project manager David Klein. She gladly accepted his offer to join us as a working student when she started her master’s degree in industrial engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Our team won great support.

Fun Fact: Claudia’s affinity for the construction industry was literally born in her cradle. Her dad is a locksmith, which meant that she was influenced by everyday construction work from an early age. She has retained this enthusiasm and curiosity to this day and wants to understand all trades and processes on the construction site down to the last detail.

Helen Viola Schulte (Working Student) completed a 3-month internship at CP Bauteam in 2021, which resulted in an employment as a working student. Currently, the RWTH master student mainly supports the team around our project manager Christian Lingg on the BOLDER Arzneimittel construction site in Cologne. She is doing this completely remotely from the land of lakes and forests, Canada, during her semester abroad. Viola has gained her first experience in structural design at well-known companies and wanted to expand this knowledge by the overall view of a project manager in structural engineering, with a partnership approach and included construction management. She found this opportunity for herself at CP Bauteam.

Fun Fact: Viola was born and raised in Münster. Despite all the prejudices against the stubborn Münsterlanders, she is very sociable and humorous.

Patrick Pickartz (Working Student) is studying civil engineering with a focus on construction production systems and construction process management for his master’s degree. During a lecture, he became aware of our Bauteam project execution model and decided to apply the knowledge he had acquired during his studies and his work at the Institute of Road Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in our construction sites. Due to his high affinity to craftsmanship, Patrick immediately understands the works executed by the individual crafts on the construction sites. Structured work and process optimization are also of great concern to him.

Fun Fact: Although Patrick is a frostbite and a dirty car is something he dislikes – both of which tend to argue against working on a construction site – he made the decision to become a civil engineer in structural engineering as a child and has remained true to it.

Francisco Alborta (Working Student) is studying civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University and supports our construction management team as a working student on the construction sites. Before joining us, he worked as a research assistant in his faculty and continues to be involved in various student initiatives. Eager to learn and committed he is a valuable asset to our team. Digital planning tools and the implementation of large-scale projects are among his passions, which is why he feels comfortable on our construction site.

Fun Fact: In addition to being Spanish by birth, Francisco speaks Italian, English and German fluently. Already as a child he knew that he would become a civil engineer when he was building with LEGO in his home country of Bolivia.
