THE CLIENT

STADA AG is an internationally oriented German pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Bad Vilbel. The Company is specialized in the production of generics and the development and marketing of products with off-patent active pharmaceutical ingredients.

THE TASK

STADA AG produces solid, semi-solid and liquid pharmaceutical forms at its Bad Vilbel site. Capacity expansion, optimisation of personnel and material flows and upgrading of hygiene standards were the main focus of the conversion of the four-storey building.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

For a smooth realization, the precise planning of all trades was crucial.

THE REALIZATION PROCESS

The project was realized in seven stages. Seperate accessabilities and a GMP-conform, permanent intermediate cleaning of the construction site and production enabled the construction to be implemented during ongoing operations. Commissioning and qualification started step by step.

THE CHALLENGE

A GMP-compliant conversion during ongoing operations entails considerable complications in the process. The meticulous planning and control of the construction processes were decisive for the outcome. In order to take into account the requirements of a pharmaceutical production to comply with the hygiene requirements without exception a high level of professionalism is required from all those involved.
