Project comments

"We gladly remember the workshop at the beginning of the project, where we recorded our greatest hopes and worst fears, and can now see that our fears proved unfounded and that even our expectations were exceeded ".

For the University Hospital of Düsseldorf, CP Bauteam GmbH planned and constructed a new central pharmacy with integrated pharmaceutical production as part of a joint venture with Lindner Reinraumtechnik and Imtech Düsseldorf. The goal of the project was to consolidate the previously decentralized pharmacy functions into a new building in order to centralize the manufacturing and quality assurance of pharmaceuticals, as well as the production of infusion and dialysis solutions, cytostatic drugs, chemicals, and diagnostic agents, at a single location. The planning and construction services were awarded through a public bidding process.

The new building was designed and constructed as a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical plant on a laboratory scale with extensive logistics functions. The high requirements for cleanroom technology, production processes, and building services engineering necessitated close integration of planning and execution, as well as coordinated collaboration among interdisciplinary planners and specialists.

Through structured project management, collaborative work within the joint venture, and close coordination with the client, this complex construction project was completed cost-effectively, on schedule, and to a high standard of workmanship. The result is a modern central pharmacy that meets the high standards for GMP-compliant manufacturing, testing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products for the University Hospital Düsseldorf and external institutions.
