CLIENT
The client, with over 4,000 employees, operates its competence center for transdermal dosage forms in the greater Munich area.
As a reliable partner to the international pharmaceutical industry, it develops and manufactures active ingredient patches for a wide range of requirements at the site.
TASK POSITION
The client plans to continuously increase patch production at the site in the greater Munich area in the coming years. In order to meet the growing requirements of the production plant, it is planned to expand the production and packaging capacities on the basis of the “Master Plan 2027” drawn up by Carpus+Partner AG.
As part of several partial construction projects, the existing building E, among others, will be extensively converted and put to a new use.
In addition, a new logistics hub (Building C) is being built to increase storage capacity and centralize incoming and outgoing goods.
The fast-track project in Building E is a particular priority: two new secondary packaging lines are to be built on the second floor and are scheduled to go into operation in spring 2025. This also includes the construction of a temporary delivery building. The implementation of the entire project is planned by the end of 2027.
PLANNING PROCESS
The construction project was initially planned by Carpus+Partner AG on behalf of the client and from service phase 5 (execution planning) on behalf of CP Bauteam.
In line with the basic idea of the construction team model, the planning process was initially accompanied by CP Bauteam and actively managed as it progressed.
The early involvement of the expertise of the partner companies carrying out the work was particularly valuable, enabling planning to be optimized in terms of requirements and costs.
REALIZATION PROCESS
On the basis of the implementation planning drawn up by Carpus+Partner AG, the project was implemented using the construction team model.
CHALLENGE
In addition to the tight schedule – especially in the prioritized fast-track project – the particular complexity of the project lies in converting or supplementing the existing technical systems (e.g. ventilation units, heating and water treatment systems) in such a way that they fully meet the changed usage requirements.
