THE CLIENT
The Allphamed Arzneimittel GmbH in Göttingen is part of NextPharma with headquarters in Great Britain and is specialized in the production of solid and liquid penicillins, cephalosporins and conventional preparations, among other things.

THE TASK

Allphamed had decided to construct a new, closed production building for the manufacturing of cephalosporin preparations according to the national and international requirements for GMP-compliant production of sensitive products.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

The production steps from weighing to packaging were arranged according to the material flow. Our planners designed the production area completely flexible using a column-free construction and a consistent suspended ceiling and flooring . The clear separation of the three areas such as the high-bay warehouse, the production and ancillary rooms and the social areas is clearly visible on the façade. The coherent hygiene concept of the extension was supported by the selection of the materials.

THE REALIZATION PROCESS

Since the production was also established in the market as contract manufacturing for other pharmaceutical companies, the project was under high cost pressure. In the course of the realization, great importance was attached to inexpensive materials and simple but hygienic details of expansion. It was not until the planning made it possible to adhere to the budget that the client decided to go for the Integrated Project Delivery.

THE CHALLENGE

The production capacities were already urgently needed in the market at the beginning of the project, therefore detailed planning and structural realization were carried out compressed in time and sometines overlaying.
