International School of Düsseldorf

CP Bauteam GmbH carried out a comprehensive renovation and functional restructuring of the biology classrooms on the ground floor of the South Building for the International School of Düsseldorf e.V. The goal of the project was to create modern science learning environments that would provide long-term support for a contemporary teaching concept in an international school setting. As part of its turnkey contract (LPH 1–8), CP Bauteam GmbH was responsible for overall project management, planning, construction management, and the complete coordination of all trades from a single source.

The modernized areas include the five room units S-021, S-022, S-023, S-024b, and the adjacent greenhouse, with a total usable floor area of approximately 309 m². In addition to the complete removal of the existing fixtures and fittings, all interior finishing, building services, and school furnishing work was carried out anew. The building services include plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems, as well as electrical and communications systems, along with laboratory equipment specifically tailored for science instruction.

The extremely tight schedule posed a particular challenge: All construction work had to be carried out during the summer break while school was still in session. Consequently, only a period of about seven weeks between July and August 2025 was available for implementation. To ensure on-time completion, precise, nearly day-by-day advance planning of all trades and workflow processes was required. Thanks to close coordination among all project participants, the project was accepted as scheduled on August 19, 2025—just in time for the start of the new school year.
